Hola! It has been an awesome first day here in Spain. This morning we did a treasure hunt/exploring sesh/orientation of Alcala. Our two last buddies safely arrived from New York and were able to sleep a bit and join us on our mission of defeating jetlag. The rest of us rode the train to the university of Alcala to meet with their college of nursing. Puri, the sweet, smart, professor and international activities coordinator showed us our their nursing school. We still don't have a real plan for clinical yet, but Sheri has a plan b (and a plan c) hehe. After the college tour we were STARVED and bought/made some lunch. We are pretty big fans of this fiesta lifestyle.
After we got some food and rest and felt ourselves again, we rode the train to Madrid. Currently it is San Isidros, so there was a FABULOUS fireworks show in the park. We've walked over ten miles, collectively ate 10+ pastries, multiple ice creams, and had 4 blistering feet today. We are exhausted, but happy. Stay tuned! Viva la espaina!
